Blue Circular Economy

Our business supports a blue circular economy by building a bridge between traditional and innovative agricultural sectors, utilizing recyclable materials on the production of seaweed biomass, promoting sustainable and eco-friendly use of marine resources, and improving the health and wellbeing of coastal communities.

Bioeconomy

Prospersea goals are closely aligned with sustainable bioeconomy, working toward the security of food and nutrition, managing natural resources sustainably, investing the renewable resources with a low carbon footprint, thereby reducing the impact on climate change, and promoting the creation of jobs.

1.Cultivation

Kappaphycus alvarezii is cultivated along the Coast of Brazil using recyclable materials and with no addition of extra nutrients. Prospersea also encourages our partners to implement best practices

2.Harvest

Seaweed biomass is harvested manually directly from the tubular netting systems, with no impacts on the surrounding environment. The biomass is then rinsed with clean seawater to remove debris.

3.Biostimulant extraction

Clean seaweed biomass is mechanically crushed to produce our rich biostimulant extract.

4.Drying and Milling

Sterilized drying platforms were specially designed to optimize the drying process of the seaweed, avoiding environmental contaminations. Dried whole and crushed biomass are handled according to good management practices, following strict international food and feed standards guidelines

5.Warehousing and distribution

Our warehouse and distribution centre was carefully planned to ensure that the quality of our products is preserved.

6.Domestic and export markets

Prospersea supplies exclusive and organic seaweed products to Brazil, the United States and Europe markets.

7.Serving customers

The quality of our products is closely inspected throughout all the steps to guarantee customers satisfaction.
